The construction of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris was ordered in 1806 by Napoleon, the French Emperor. Construction was completed in 1836. Due to the huge success of the 1925 Paris exhibition, French architects, artists and designers were invited to demonstrate their talents in major cities all over the world.
Quite stunning and be a welcome piece to display in a place of honour, or on a writing desk.
