NICE LOOKING AUTHENTIC TONING/PATINA
Beautiful coin that is hard to find in this condition;
exclusive design and historic/numismatic value make this coin far more valuable than the price of precious metal itself.
This is a nice collectible vintage coin that grows in price with each year, at a rate exceeding inflation.
Minted under Mario García Menocal (from the times of First Republic), a few years before Cuba financial system collapsed.
In 1915, cupro-nickel 1, 2 and 5 centavos, silver 10, 20 and 40 centavos and 1 peso, and gold 1, 2, 4, 10 and 20 peso coins were introduced.
These coins were designed by Charles E. Barber, who also designed the Barber dimes, quarters, half dollars for the U*S*A Mint.
The coins were minted at Philadelphia mint.
Edge is reeded.
90% pure silver
Weight: 10g when new
Mintage: 2,633,000; many of these coins were melted in the 40's.
Comes with its own paper storage sleeve
I've been collecting vintage stereos for a long time, so trades for old Sansui, Philips, JBL, Tannoy, Yamaha, Sony, Marantz, Denon amplifier, CD player, receiver in any condition will be considered... or for other large silver coins minted before 1920.
