Commemorative Biscuit Barrel. This ceramic biscuit barrel is decorated with transfer prints of an imaginary harbour. The scene is the same on each of the four sides. The lid and handle are electro-plated, and "Tranent Co-operative Society Limited 1862-1932″ is inscribed within a scroll on the lid.
The jars were distributed to co-op members to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Society in 1932.
