Whether you collect older figure skates, or are looking for a very usable high end pair, you will look a long time before you come across another pair like this.
These size 10 men's figure skates were made by John Wilson about 40 years ago. They have had one owner and have seen little use. Perhaps 10 sessions in total. They have been kept in cool dry storage and the leather is in excellent condition.
The 4 Aces blades, with no spike pick, are made of Sheffield steel and have stamped symbols of the 4 aces, a greyhound and "Sheffield steel". A pair of Sheffield steel, 4 aces blades presently cost some 340.00 + taxes.
The boots are handcrafted by John Knebli of Toronto. Mr. Knebli made boots right up until he died at the age of 94. His boots have been worn by many champion figure skaters. An internet search of the name "John Knebli", reports that these champions include Brian Orser and Barbara Ann Scott.
The custom wooden guards with brass fittings are included as shown. These skates are sharp & ready to go.
Asking 195.00 and looking for serious offers.
I'm located 20 minutes west of Ottawa, near Almonte. If you're reading this ad then the skates are available. I try and pull my ads the day a deal gets completed. If you want to ensure you hear from me, please include your phone number. I have had ad replies with bad email address's and not been able to get in touch with some buyers.
Thanks for looking.
