Native ash splint and sweet grass container. Circa 1970. This small cylindrically-shaped container could be used as a pencil and/or penholder. It came from a Belleville, Ontario, collection and was probably made in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory. It's in excellent condition.
It stands 3¼ inches (8 mm) tall, with a diameter of 3¾ inches (9½ mm)
