NEAR MINT, WORKS AND SOUNDS LIKE NEW
All-original, low mileage (all lamps are original and they all work), original matched (same 5B batch) Toshiba 2SD426+2SB556 power transistor pairs.
Cleaned and detailed in and out, all controls, switches and connectors deoxidized and lubed, tuner bearings lubed, fresh thermo grease applied fot output transistors, relay cleaned,
cold solder joints re-flowed with fresh solder, DC offset adjusted to 0mV L/R, bias voltages adjusted to 3mV L/R, per factory specs, tuner calibrated.

This particular 5550 sounds almost as good as Marantz 2265 and Sansui QRX-7500; I can listen to it for hours, without any listening fatigue;
In Technics lineup, this is a special machine.
Later models like SA-500 SA-700 cannot touch it, as far as sound quality goes.
I've been collecting vintage stereos for a long time, so trades for old Akai, Marantz, Sony, Denon, Kenwood, Sansui, Sherwood, Philips receiver, amplifier, CD player, speakers in any condition will be considered.
