Victorian wooden lady's glove box. Circa 1900. This lovely box was originally meant to store gloves. It was decorated with a wood-burning technique called pyrography. The top, both outside and in, has been scripted with the word "gloves", which has then been surrounded by stylized daisies and leaves. It measures 10 inches by 3 ½ inches and is 2 inches high. The hinges are intact and the box is in excellent condition.
