Hello, I am looking to sell my circa 2005 Marantz SR7500 7.1 Channel Receiver. This unit was the 2nd highest model of it's year (under the TOTL SR8500), and is extremely capable. Consult the following: https://www.us.marantz.com/DocumentMaster/US/SR7500specsheet0506.pdf The link above lists the specifications of this unit, and I can attest that this unit delivers as advertised, and then some. One of the reasons I chose this amp, was to replace a 1978 Marantz SR 2252 (which yes, I am aware, wasn't the wisest choice), in terms of the ability to work well with BOTH Surround sound formats, and analogue audio for 2-channel HiFi. This unit excels at processing and playing back the soundtracks of movies and multi-channel audio. I actually find it sounds its best with movies that are encoded in DTS, and the DTS HD/Master soundtracks on Blue Ray Discs sounds phenomenal, with lots of grunt and authority. Scenes such as the encounter with the T-Rex in Jurassic Park are effortless for this unit, and it sounds like you are in the scene with the characters. I am the only owner of this unit, and I bought it from Gibson's Sound & Vision in Waterloo Ontario (they were one of few Marantz authorized retailers left in Southern Ontario at the time after many stores gave up on the brand for a while). It comes with the OEM Remote, the owners manual, antennas and the setup mic (for the Marantz Room Acoustic Calibration/ M.R.A.C). These units retailed for around $1700 in 2006 when they weren't on sale, but have been able to command a better resale value than other brands equipment of the same era. Asking $325 o.b.o. You can text or email me, and I will provide a demo for serious buyers.
